Picks I Really Liked: Colts-Quenton Nelson-This one needs little explanation. Nelson is the best prospect in this draft regardless of position. The Colts didn’t need a quarterback and if they stayed at three, very well could have selected Nelson. It fills a massive need with a tremendous player. Indianapolis played this perfect by getting one

It seemed to me that L Jackson worked out quite poorly at his Pro Day and at the Combine. He stood out in a negative way at the Combine. But maybe in the flow of a game, he’s a different guy, who knows? Just the way some people are good in games, and some practice players. I am surprised and intrigued you like him so much, and will now consider him much more seriously. I really should listen to your QB rundowns on Locked on NFL, I guess, but didn’t find the time.

I think you liked Kaepernick quite a bit when he was coming out of college, didn’t you? I think comparing Jackson to him is difficult, because Kaepernick’s NFL performance was hardly of a piece, but if he can be better than the Super Bowl Kaepernick, that’s high praise.

I haven’t watched Jackson much, but Kaepernick strikes me as a tall guy when he’s playing, and I think of Jackson, despite being over 6’2″, as a smaller guy.

I know nothing and am just commenting to get the comments section going. MDubb, thanks for your passion and exhaustive work all of these years, and for being one of the most transparently nice people in the business.
